Dr. Thomas S. Sartor, B.A., D. C. , C.M.A.
Chiropractor and Acupuncture provider
A graduate of the University of Western Ontario, Dr. Sartor did his Doctorate Degree at Parker University in Dallas, Texas. He is certified in providing custom orthotics and is a qualified Bioflex Cold Laser provider. He is also a graduate of McMaster University’s Contemporary Medical Acupuncture Program.
Dr. Sartor is certified by the Canadian National Board, the Ontario Board and the U.S. National Board, and is a member of the Ontario Chiropractic Association. Tom is married to his wife Michelle and they are proud parents of two children Ellianna and Rudy.
Shannon O’Neill, RPT CAFCI
Physiotherapist and Acupuncture provider
Having grown up and attending school in Norfolk County, Shannon attended the University of Western Ontario before graduating with her Bachelors of Science in Physiotherapy from Queens University. A lifelong learner, she became certified in Acupuncture through the AFCI (Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institutute) in 2007. Shannon has worked as a sports trainer with the Strathroy Rockets (Junior B) as well as personally playing competitive baseball and basketball.
She brings with her 13+ years of Physiotherapy experience working with many issues including sports injuries and pediatrics . Shannon is passionate about her two beautiful daughters and loving partner. She enjoys spending time outdoors, reading and helping people through her profession
Zach Swarts B.HSc. , M.Sc. , D.C. , C.M.A.
Chiropractor and Acupuncture provider
Zach Swarts was born and raised in Port Dover. His family has been living in Norfolk County for over ten generations. It has always been Zach’s dream to serve his community. Zach completed both his undergraduate degree and Master’s degree at Western University in London, Ontario where he obtained an Honours degree in Health Sciences and a Master’s in Anatomy and Cell Biology. Following his graduation from Western University, Zach attended the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) in Toronto, a world leader in chiropractic education and research. Outside of school, you will likely find Zach fishing and boating. He is a co-founder of Backlash Angling, a local company dedicated to providing an informative online medium for all things fishing.
Barbara DeSerrano
Physiotherapist
NorthShore Health Associates is pleased to welcome Barbara to the clinic. A graduate from the University of Toronto, Barbara has practised physiotherapy in both Ontario and British Columbia. Barbara has an extensive experience in treating neuromuscular and orthopaedic conditions and has an affinity towards the elderly. Her dedication to patient care is evident in her continuing education. She has two wonderful children and a mischievous dog named Mocha. Barb enjoys hiking and reading.
Alyssa Irwin, R.M.T.
Registered Massage Therapist
Alyssa was born and raised in Simcoe, graduating from Simcoe Composite School in 2006. Over the next few years she pursued various interests and part time jobs, but nothing led to a full time career. Alyssa became interested in Massage after seeing the benefits it provided for her daughter. She enrolled shortly after in the Massage Therapy program at Medix College in Kitchener, Ontario. After completing her program and licensing exams, Alyssa became fully licensed as a Registered Massage Therapist. When not working, Alyssa enjoys reading, cooking, going for walks and spending time with her family.
Frances Koorn, R.M.T.
Registered Massage Therapist
Northshore Health Associates is pleased to welcome Frances to our team! Born in Trinidad, she immigrated to Canada in the winter of 1988. She is a graduate of Pauline Johnson School in Brantford and has since earned her Registered Massage Therapist Diploma at Everest College in Hamilton. Frances registered with the College of Massage Therapist of Ontario in February 2009 and has been working as a Massage Therapist in the Norfolk County. Some of the many techniques she uses include Swedish Massage and Hydrotherapy (modalities such as ice massage and thermal palm.
Tina Koslowski, R.M.T.
Registered Massage Therapist
NorthShore Health Associates is pleased to welcome Tina to our practice. She brings over 20 years of massage experience. She has great strength, but can also soften her touch. Tina welcomes her existing patients and new ones to the clinic. Massage therapy treatments from a Registered Massage Therapist can treat a wide variety of conditions that affect the soft tissues and joints. Tina enjoys spending time with her family and children.
Niki Mitchell
Office Manager
Niki joined the NorthShore Health team in 1998 and enjoys every aspect of her job, the people she works with and the patients she greets every day.
Niki knows the logistics of helping others as well as being able to guide you through the claims process with ease.
A billing specialist in EHC (extended health care benefit claims), WSIB (Workplace Safety & Insurance Board) and HCAI (motor vehicle insurance), Niki is happy to help patients navigate the complicated system of third party coverage.
A lifelong native of Port Dover, Niki resides with her husband Ian and is a proud mom to their two daughters, Brittany and Jadian. In her spare time you can usually find Niki at the local arena / soccer field cheering on her youngest.
Alana Moerschfelder
Assistant Office Manager
Alana joined the team in 2008. She has a background in personal support work and enjoys interacting with and providing care for our patients. She grew up in the Fisherville area where she currently resides with her husband Cody. When she is not in the office, Alana enjoys woodworking, restoring antiques and spending time with her rescue animals.
